Stora Enso’s innovative egg tray for the Leto brand, best in class in its category, was awarded in the Packaging for food products and beverages category. In addition, the egg tray received a separate diploma from Russia’s number one packaging magazine Tara i Upakovka.
The original design solution clearly breaks the traditional category rules by combining colour offset-printing to help the product stand out on the shelf. At the same time, the use of N-flute allows for a reduction in the weight of the paper used, while retaining the strength characteristics of the packaging.
This is not the first time Stora Enso creates an innovative packaging solution for Leto. A bold move from traditionally pressed pulp packaging for eggs to a printed corrugated solution generated an impressive 40% sales increase.
Another Stora Enso product, a packaging for water filters for the Barrier brand was recognised in the award category Innovations in packaging.
